About Us

The Albuquerque Foster Kitten Coalition is a premier group of kitten fosters with over twenty years of combined experience. We have experience in working in TNR, the ringworm isolation ward at a local shelter, as FIP coordinators for various rescues, and have participated in spay and neuter clinics.

Our goal is to save as many kittens as we possibly can, keeping them out of shelters and off the streets and into loving homes where they will receive the proper vet care and have a chance to find their forever home. We take in a variety of cases, from taking care of moms with kittens; bottle babies; medical needs kittens such as those with FIP, broken bones, spinal injuries, and a variety of other medical needs; we also take in cats and kittens who just need a holding spot until they can be vetted and adopted.

We work together, utilizing everyone’s individual strengths, to empower each other and encourage anyone in our community to get involved and to help make our community a better place for the people and the animals that live here. We are not affiliated with any one shelter or rescue but are supporting independent fosters in fostering under whatever agency they choose.

We are currently working with rescues and shelters in Bernalillo, Santa Fe, and Valencia counties.
